Goal:
To train the participants in the immediate management of a critical patient [trauma/disease]and to provide them with the basic knowledge necessary to perform

• Rapid and Accurate assement of the patient’s condition.
• Priority wise resuscitation and stabilization of the patient.
• Assessment whether the vicitim’s needs could exceed a facility’s capabilities.
• Arrangment of inter hospital transfers if necessary.
• Provision of optimum care all the way.
OBJECTIVES :
Designed to train doctors & Bsc. Nursing personnel to provide emergency cate to victim of serious condition. The concept “Golden Hour” does not necessary imply a fixed time frame of 60minutes but emphasizes the urgency necessary for successful management of the seriously injured trauma victim. Upon completion of the participants would be expected to -
• Demomstrate concept and principals of primary and secondary assessment of trauma victims.
• Establish management priorities in a trauma situation.
• Inititate primary and secondary management with the golden hour.
• Demonstrate in a given simulated clinical and surgical skill station the skills necessary for the intial assessment and management of patients with multiple injured. |
