| Fainting:
Brief loss of consciousness due to the temporary reduction of blood supply to the brain.
Causes:
- Pain
- Fright
- Emotional upset.
- Exhaustion
- Lack of food [hypoglycemia]
Lay the casualty down and raise and support her/his legs to improve the blood flow to the vital organs brain and heart.
- To reassure the casualty.
- Make sure that she/he has plenty of air.
- As the casualty recovers reassure and help her /him to sit gradually.
- Look for and do the First-Aid any injury she/he has sustained during the attack.
- If does not regain consciousness, quickly apply ABC & CPR.

Myths About Epilepsy
It is a contagious disease..
Smell of shoe, chapple, leather or onion controls the attack.
Fits are caused by evil spirit.

Anybody, Young or Old, Male or female, rich or poor, thin or fat, laborer or executive.
What Not to do in Epilepsy ?
- Don’t hold chapple or shoe, leather, onion, etc near the nose and mouth of a victim.
- Don’t feed water or any liquid, it is not only wrong but dangerous.
- Don’t put finger in victim’s mouth during attack.
What to do in Epilepsy ?
- Spread the crowed first.
- If there is a tongue bite then push it inside the mouth with the help of a spoon or cloth.
- If necessary one can put gludial airway in victims mouth to keep the airway patent .
- Clean and Clear the airway [nose and mouth]
- Loosen the clothing.
- Wait for 10 minutes.
- Rush to the hospital.
- Take care, patient should not fall or sustain injuries during attack.
- Take care of injuries sustained during attack.

- Splashed into the eyes.

Check the BREATHING & CIRCULATION.

In inhaled poisons:- remove the casualty from danger & in to fresh air.
Absorbed poisons:- flush away any residual chemical on the skin.
